SaaS online marketing automation solution with new owner and brand identity
Excelsea acquires business unit of Lokale Internetwerbung and continues it as a proprietary platform
Nuremberg, 3 September 2021 - With effect from 1 September, Excelsea GmbH & Co. KG, based in Nuremberg, acquires the leadhub business unit of Lokale Internetwerbung GmbH & Co. KG and will continue the leadhub brand under the new name Markee from this date.
With the purchase of the leadhub business unit of Lokale Internetwerbung, Excelsea is acquiring the part of the company that has made an excellent name for itself on the market as a development centre for the leadhub technology, a SaaS solution for the automation of online marketing in the areas of presence management, advertising, websites, call tracking and ad serving, since its foundation in 2012. The takeover process was completed on 1 September. From that date, the established location service cloud is available to its users with a new name, colours and logo. "For our customers, everything will remain unchanged. Apart from the new design, users will not notice any changes in the user interface after the changeover - and all established functionalities will be retained," explains Joachim Helfer, Managing Director of Excelsea GmbH & Co. KG. "We will also continue the successful strategy of the software solution under the name Markee and stick to the planned roadmap for further development. In the medium term, we want to pick up the pace of new and further developments and reach a broader customer base through new innovative functionalities and offer further added value." In line with the market trend, he said, particular attention should be paid to expanding the new multilingual self-service area for end customers, who are increasingly also coming from (European) foreign countries.
From the time of the takeover, the entire team operate under the name and logo of Excelsea GmbH & Co. KG at the start. "All employees from the leadhub business unit of Lokale Internetwerbung will be taken over," emphasises Joachim Helfer. "This is a clear advantage for Excelsea because it means that not only the brand will be transferred to the new company, but also the long-standing know-how of the employees of the established software company will be retained." In order to be able to fulfil the planned growth, Excelsea's team is to be further strengthened in the coming months.
Excelsea GmbH & Co. KG, based in Nuremberg, Germany, is dedicated to helping agencies and other multipliers efficiently support their clients' online marketing activities with its SaaS solution for automating online marketing.
The Markee service cloud (Msc) is designed to centrally serve the areas of listing, advertising, websites, call tracking and ad serving. In addition to a web interface, it provides a central interface for integration. Via the Msc, the internet presences of both individual SMEs and companies with numerous locations can be managed and optimised simultaneously. Since autumn 2021, the company has also provided a white-label self-service portal for end customers.
